You go on the telemetry, then onto the bit called "Heat".

They go more yellow if they are too hot, and they go more pale if they are too cold.

Everyone might get at least yellow because there are some corners that put a lot of stress in the tyres.

yep but it's good for showing if you need to alter your camber angle, or if your tyre pressures aren't right, e.t.c...

Well looks like i'am going to be racing with a controller for the first time in 6 months, because of my wheel being out of action, its going to cost me about a second a lap, but hopefully by the next race i'll have my wheel sorted and have fitted my clutch pedal, hopefully worth half a second a lap, once I learn how to race with the clutch. Any tips on how to drive a race car with a clutch from the people who have done it would be great!!

I doubt you'll get half a second from a clutch in a race car, the lower classes... maybe.

Yeah Maiden is right, the clutch is more benificial in classes up to R3. R2 and above, the cars have such fast sequential gearboxes that unless you are a top 50 LB driver you will not see much beneft. Indeed, I race with a steering wheel (fanatec with clutch, gears etc) and I find the clutch hinders me with alot of the R2 and higher cars....Plus I like using the paddle shifter for the cars that have them i.e. my Lola! :)

I drive the GT2's so they are R3, On a controller I found I gained most of my time I the down shifts breaking for a corner I don't know if its because of blipping the throttle(haven't got a clue now i'm going to do that with pedals) or a psychological thing. I tend to struggle on the breaks with a wheel.

It`s probably psychological but with the clutch pedal you can try your hand at heel and toe downshifting, which is basically blipping the throttle on a down shift under braking to keep the engine revs in at the right speed to match the wheel speed for the required gear (or something along those lines but feel free to correct me). I have a play with this technique occasionally but as long as you do your braking and shifting in a straight (ish) line I don`t find it that neccassery. I had a go at iRacing a while back and if you try and aproach a corner at speed, braking hard and change gear early without heel and toe`ing you lose it really easily...

I feel for you going from a wheel to a controller. If that happened to me I couldn`t race as I cannot use the controller anymore!

Yeh going from a wheel to a controller feels like doing open heart surgery with a chain saw!

Thanks for the video always wondered how it was actually one I was going to look them up once I had finished my pedals.
